The Exhibition house have constructed in 1890 in style of traditions of Old Russian architecture. Today the Nizhniy Novgorod fair is the large exhibition center of Russia where annually there pass the international forums and specialized exhibitions.

The Nizhniy Novgorod region is located in the Central European part of Russia along 57 parallels, at merge of two great Russian rivers of Volga and Oka. The territory of area totals about 80 thousand sq. km., that makes about 0,5 % of territory of the Russian Federation.
The Nizhniy Novgorod area is rich with woods and reservoirs (9000 rivers and streams, 2800 lakes and ponds). Besides Volga and Oka the large rivers of area are Sura and Vetluga. Thanks to waterways the city has large river port with the exit to the Baltic, Black, Caspian, Azov and White seas.
46 % of territory of area are covered by wood (the pine - 43.2 %, the fur-tree - 7.1 %, the birch of 34.9 %, the aspen - 10 %, other breeds - 4.8 %, the general stock of wood - 352.16 million cubic).
